Some of our guests like to visit some of the neighboring Islands to see what they offer.

Cozumel is one of the busiest cruise boat ports in the world; with shopping and restaurants galore, it's also known for its Dive sites. The Ferry Service comes and runs every ½ hour from Playa Del Carmen and back.

In Isla Mujeres there is a unique Underwater Museum (Museo Subacuático de Arte ) of over 400 life size statues called the Social Evolution of Man by artist Jason deCaires Taylor. The sculptures are all designed to become artificial reefs and are constructed from the same Marine safe Cement that the artificial reef (reefballs) installed in Playa del Secreto; this eco-friendly cement promotes marine life and coral growth and encourage marine life to live, boosting the local ecosystem.

From June till Mid-September the Whale Sharks arrive to Isla Holbox (pronounced Hol-Bosh) to feed off the plankton-rich waters and to mate, it's during that time you can swim with these beautiful non-threating and majestic creatures, which are the largest fish in the ocean measuring up to 50 feet.

We listed only one ferry option for each island, all the ports also have other ferry operators, so you have other options; we listed the services with the faster transit times which are not always the biggest ferry operators. It might be wise to purchase a one way ticket just in case you decide to take a different ferry service on the way back; tickets are not transferable between the different ferry operators.
