Over the years many of our renters enjoy having Chef Miguel Playa del Secreto's "Chef at Large" (my husband) prepare for them a few of their meals so they can try some of the regional Mayan Dishes and the fresh fish and seafood that is caught daily. They tell me that it is one of the highlights of their trip!
Our Menu has a variety of Mexican, Mayan, Fresh Seafood & Fish Dinners to choice from - all served family style or as a buffet. One of the favorites is the Regional Pork Dish (Cochinita) made with Fresh Pork roasted in banana leaves seasoned with mild spices and orange juice, then shredded and served with warm tortillas. Along with Traditional Mayan Dishes such as Black Beans, Mexican Rice, Flautas, Enchiladas with Red and Green sauce, Guacamole, Flan and Margaritas. "Bontanas" (Snacks) also available.

What is a Jicama?
(hee-kah-mah)

It's a root vegetable, the inside is white with a crisp
texture that resembles raw potato or pear. The flavor is sweet
and starchy, reminiscent of some apples.
It doesn't get much fresher!
At different times of the year we have Snapper, Grouper,
Hogfish and Mahi Mahi, depending on what the local fishermen
catch!
We also are happy to clean and prepare any fish you caught.
