Secret Beach Villa

The Secret Beach Villa is actually three identical villas - part of a three villa building. Each villa has its own separate pool and because of their size (2500 sq. ft.) and layout are very private from each other. You can rent one or two or all three villas if you have a bigger group We called the villas the "Shell Villa" (4 bedroom - End Villa), the "Fish Villa" (4 bedroom - End Villa) and the "Boat Villa" (Middle Villa - 3 Bedroom) due to the difference in the theme of the decor.

Located directly on the beach - the water edge is 30' from the back door in a private Gated Residential Community that is very safe.

Private pool - each villa has a private pool with privacy walls between and 2 tanning beds.

The beach at Playa del Secreto is fine white powdery sand.

What's a Cupula Ceiling?



It's a dome shaped ceiling - inland with bricks. It serves two purposes, first is helps to cool the villa and second it architecturally beautiful. All the upstairs rooms have cupula ceilings; the foyer has a double cupula.

4 Bedroom Villas (Shell Villa & Fish Villa (end Villas) -sleeps 8 Adults each - no more than 10 people allowed

3 Bedroom Villa (Boat Villa (middle Villa) - sleeps 6 Adults - no more than 8 allowed)

        3rd Bedroom - Cenote & Garden View with King bed, in suite bathroom with walk-in shower, alarm clock, Sealy Orthopedic Mattress & private balcony

        4th Bedroom - (Only in the Shell & Fish Villas)  Garden View with 2 twin beds (can be made into a king), alarm clock, Sealy Orthopedic Mattresses & in suite bathroom with walk-in shower

Extra Sleeping

The Boat Villa & the Fish Villa we have a Sleeper Sofa Queen Size and in the Shell Villa we have a Twin size Daybed. In each villas these are located in a large separate foyer area outside the upstairs bedrooms.

4 1/2 bathrooms - (3 1/2 in the Boat Villa) The upstairs bathrooms have skylights and built in planters - all bathrooms have hairdryers

2 central A/C (two 5 ton units per villa - one for each floor )

Hampton Bay ceiling fans with lighting in every room

TV, DVD, US Dish Network Satellite System (with Premium channels Starz, HBO, Showtime, Cinimax & TMC and 50 cable channels and SIRIUS Music channels.) Having TV in English is rare in Mexico!

Indoors there is a Stereo System with CD and Tape Player. For Outdoors we have a Sony Heavy-duty Marine quality Boom box with  CD player and digital music port. We also have a portable docking station for a mp3 music player (bring cable.)

What is a Cenote?



We have a lovely "Cenote" on our property. Cenote (say-NO-tay) is the Spanish word for a water-filled limestone sinkhole. In Mexico's northern Yucatan Peninsula, where there are few lakes or streams, Cenote's provided a stable supply of water for the ancient Maya people who settled there. Ours has my husband's "pet" a small harmless crocodile who is also our garbage disposal and quite an amusement for the renters to see him being fed.

The owners live in a separate apartment 300 feet in back of the villa (at the entrance of the driveway away from the beach.) Unlike many villas in the region we are onsite owner/mangers, this is not a vacation home we see once in a while - we live here so we are aware of our staff, and maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner.
